Therapy Services
Therapy that meets you where you are.
Individual therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults offering a space to understand yourself, build new skills, and move toward what matters to you.
Therapy can look different for everyone. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to work on, while others simply know that something feels difficult and they want things to feel different. Wherever you're starting, we'll work together to understand what's going on, identify what matters to you, and build a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful.
Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy gives us space to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and work toward the changes you're hoping to make.
Our sessions are collaborative and tailored to you. We might spend time building practical skills, exploring patterns that keep showing up, processing difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, or simply making sense of something that has been weighing on you.
Sessions are 50 minutes and available both in person and through telehealth in Washington State.
A little more about
therapy…
-
Therapy can be a space to work through whatever is feeling difficult, confusing, or stuck. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, intense emotions, family or relationship conflict, grief and loss, trauma, or a major life transition.
We can also explore questions about identity, self-worth, boundaries, relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and wanting something to change.
You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis or know exactly what you need to work on. We can start with what's bringing you here and figure out together where therapy can be most helpful.
-
Therapy starts with getting to know each other. Our first conversations are an opportunity for you to share what brings you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you'd like to be different. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin—we can start wherever you are.
From there, we'll work together to understand the patterns, experiences, and emotions that may be getting in the way of the life you want. Depending on what you're looking for, our work might include building practical skills, exploring past experiences, processing difficult emotions, or finding new ways to approach situations that feel stuck.
Your goals help guide our work. Therapy isn't about me telling you what you should do or who you should be. It's about working collaboratively to help you better understand yourself, make choices that align with what matters to you, and build the tools you need to navigate life with greater confidence and flexibility.
And as you grow and your needs change, our work can change too. There isn't one right way for therapy to look. We'll figure out what works for you together.

For teen and adolescent clients, parents and caregivers can be an important part of the therapeutic process. When it makes therapeutic sense, we may include parent or caregiver sessions to provide support, share relevant information, strengthen communication, or work through challenges that are affecting the family.
At the same time, I want young people to have a space where they can speak openly and begin developing their own sense of independence. Parent or caregiver involvement will be discussed collaboratively and included when it supports the goals of therapy and is appropriate for the client's needs.
The goal isn't to put parents on the outside or young people in the middle. It's to find ways to support both the individual client and the relationships around them.

Private Pay
Northwest Solstice Counseling is currently a private-pay practice. Sessions are $175 for 50-minutes, with payment due at the time of service.
Why I Chose Private Pay
I chose to remain out of network so I can keep our work centered on you and your individual needs. Working outside of insurance allows us greater flexibility in determining what we focus on, how we approach your goals, and what feels most helpful in our work together.
Out-Of-Network Benefits
While I don't bill insurance directly, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Because coverage varies by plan, I recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific benefits, deductible, and potential reimbursement.
Sliding Scale
I believe access to therapy matters, and I reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients who may need a lower session fee. Availability and rates are discussed on an individual basis and depend on current availability.
Before beginning therapy, we'll make sure you have a clear understanding of the cost of services and what to expect.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
You don't have to know exactly what you need from therapy before reaching out. We can start with a conversation, talk about what's bringing you here, and see whether we're a good fit.
